With roughly 80 ads running at the 2025 Super Bowl, the advertising industry was in for a treat as we saw what the biggest brands have done with $8 Million and a 30 second slot. We have analysed as many of these ads as possible and whittled down our top 5 personal favourites.

1. Uber Eats – A Century of Cravings

Kicking things off with our absolute favourite: Uber Eats – A Century of Cravings. This ad cleverly played into the idea that the ‘National Food Ball League’ exists purely to make us hungry. It hilariously imagines a board meeting where Uber Eats executives brainstorm absurd reasons why everything about the Super Bowl is designed to get people craving food. From the Caesars Superdome (named after a salad), to the "LIXs" 😋 Super Bowl, and even the nickname "pig skins" (to remind everyone of bacon), the ad highlights the food-fuelled conspiracy. And, of course, let’s not forget that it’s called the Super BOWL.

Uber Eats sarcastically positions itself as the true ruler of the Super Bowl food scene. With plenty of puns, a strong brand identity, and the kind of humour we all expect from Super Bowl ads, Uber Eats nailed it 👏

2. Häagen-Dazs – Not So Fast, Not So Furious

Celebrity cameos are a Super Bowl ad staple, but Häagen-Dazs took it to another level with its collaboration with the Fast and Furious franchise. Typically, we see high-speed car chases, but after a Häagen-Dazs ice cream, everything slows down to pure bliss. Even Ludacris struggles to speed things up again, as the effect of the ice cream is just too strong.

This ad brilliantly merges a high-value collaboration with a product-focused message, showing how one ice cream can slow life down in the best possible way.

3. Doritos – NFL Focus Group

One of the hottest marketing trends in 2025 is community engagement, and Doritos has absolutely nailed this. By running a competition for people to create their own Super Bowl ad, they’ve brought their customers into the story, creating genuine excitement. Large brands can sometimes feel a bit stale, but this initiative has reignited a sense of fun and relevance for the Doritos brand.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, they also created their own humorous take on an NFL Focus Group, where members of the Kansas City Chiefs provide comedic feedback on customer-made ads. It’s a clever way to stay relevant to this year’s Super Bowl while still giving their customers the spotlight.

4. Taco Bell – Fans, Not Celebrities

Following in Doritos’ footsteps, Taco Bell has embraced the community by featuring their customers in the ad instead of celebrities. But let’s face it, no Super Bowl ad would be complete without a dose of star power so Doja Cat and LeBron James were featured in a tasteful way.

It’s a playful way to celebrate their fans and generate excitement, while still tapping into the power of celebrity endorsements.

5. Instacart – We’re Here

Nostalgia always works wonders in advertising, and Instacart hit the mark by delivering iconic brand characters, literally, straight to a doorstep. The ad blends recognisable characters with their delivery service, showing how quickly they can bring beloved products to your home. It’s a clever, fun ad that resonates with many even if you didn't know the brand before hand.

If there was one ad that could explain the power of branding, this would be it!

We Also Loved:

  • Hims and Hers: This ad took a smart sales approach by addressing a serious issue first, obesity in the US. Then it highlighted that it's not the individual’s fault but rather the system that fails them. They then transition on to how they can help. Straightforward and impactful in an exciting exposing kind of way.

  • Dove: Known for its strong brand identity, Dove used its Super Bowl ad to promote female body positivity. Although not an uncommon ad style for the brand, the emotional appeal was hard to resist, pulling you into the story their brand is telling.

  • Budweiser: Sometimes, less is more. Budweiser stood out by opting for simplicity. There were no dramatic themes here, just a nostalgic, old-school vibe that perfectly aligned with their brand identity.

  • Hellmann’s: Slightly inappropriate but undeniably hilarious. The ad plays with the idea of how much better everything is with Hellmann’s mayo. Tapping into the 35th Anniversary of the 1989 film "When Harry Met Sally", they recreated the famous diner scene but in their own way.

  • Nike: Tied into the theme of women in sport, Nike’s ad was motivational and carried a cool, empowering vibe that is true to its brand. It got people pumped up and resonated with the NFL's emphasis on diversity and inclusion for women in sport. They also didn’t tease the ad beforehand which we appreciate.
